The teenagers of today are the first generation to have known of and used smart phones since they started school. That is, society has now fostered a generation that has never experienced life when you had to socialize with your voice or when your identity and sense of self was much more than your ring tone or social media presence. Technology has undoubtedly connected many people in a positive way, but I’m not convinced this is true for people who have only ever used a smart phone to start and foster personal relationships. It’s one extraordinary social experiment.
